DIABETIC TESTING SUPPLIES
Medicare now covers blood
glucose monitors and testing strips for all Part B
Medicare enrollees with diabetes. Previously, only
patients who were insulin-dependent qualified for this
coverage. The new benefits mean that with a
prescription from your doctor, Medicare will now pay for
blood glucose monitors and testing supplies for both
insulin and non-insulin-dependent diabetics.
Because Figliomeni Drug
is an approved Medicare provider, we will do all paper
work and submit a claim to Medicare on behalf of the
patient. When you choose Figliomeni Drug there are no
up-front costs, no claims to file, and no charge for
delivery. Our pharmacists are always available to
assist you with the proper use of all diabetic testing
equipment.
Medicare will pay for up
to 100 test strips and 100 lancets every month for use
by patients who are treated with insulin. Medicare will
also pay up to 100 test strips and 100 lancets every two
months for non-insulin diabetics.
